McCracken County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Aaron Edwards as the Director of Facilities, effective July 1. Edwards brings a wealth of experience in educational administration, maintenance management, and instructional leadership to his new role.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Plant and Soil Science with an emphasis in Turf/Field Maintenance from the University of Kentucky (2007). He furthered his education with a Master of Education in Middle School Education (2010) and holds certificates in Educational Administration, Director of Pupil Personnel, and Instructional Leadership from Murray State University.
Throughout his career, Edwards has demonstrated strong leadership in various roles within McCracken County Schools, including Assistant Principal and Director for Intramural Sports at McCracken County High School. He has also served as Principal at Concord Elementary School and Assistant Principal at Heath Middle School.
In addition to his administrative roles, Edwards has extensive experience in maintenance and facility management, including roles with the Louisville Bats and University of Kentucky's Athletic Field Management.

As Director of Facilities, Edwards will oversee maintenance operations, safety protocols, and facility improvements across the district, aiming to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

Edwards holds several professional certifications including Professional Certificate for Instructional Leadership - Principal, Professional Certificate for Instructional Leadership Supervisor of Instruction, and Professional Certificate for Director of Pupil Personnel. He has also completed extensive professional development in areas such as Teach Like a Champion and Google Certified Educator - Level 1.
