"Lone Oak Middle School proudly announces the appointment of Adam Sims as Assistant Principal. He brings a background in education and leadership to his new role and a commitment to student success," stated Coye Elliott, Principal of Lone Oak Middle School.

During his tenure at Lone Oak High School (LOHS) from 2006 to 2013, Sims served as a Social Studies Teacher and coached various sports teams including Softball, Football, and Baseball. His impact extended beyond academics and athletics as he played a pivotal role in organizing the Service and Learning Experience to El Salvador, enriching students' global perspectives through immersive cultural exchanges.

In 2013, Sims transitioned to McCracken County High School, where he continued to excel as a Social Studies Teacher, eventually assuming leadership roles such as History Department Leader and member of the Site-Based Decision-Making Council. In 2023, he took on the role of Mustang Academy Coordinator, further showcasing his commitment to educational excellence and student development.

“I am excited and blessed to be joining the Lone Oak Middle School team,” said Sims. “I look forward to working with the students and staff to contribute to the continued success and rich tradition of excellence as a Purple Flash.”

Sims holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and a Masters of Administration from Murray State University.
