McCracken County Public Schools Celebrates Success in 2023-2024 Kentucky Summative Assessments
McCracken County Public Schools (MCPS) is proud to announce outstanding results in the 2023-2024 Kentucky Summative Assessments (KSA). The district has seen significant improvement across multiple levels, with schools receiving some of the highest performance ratings available under the KSA system.
"We are incredibly proud of the dedication shown by our students, teachers, and staff. These results reflect the district's commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement," said Superintendent Josh Hunt. "Our focus will remain on fostering an environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential."
KSA performance is measured across five color-coded levels: Red (lowest), Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blue (highest). This year, MCPS continued to demonstrate academic excellence with four schools earning the highest possible rating of Blue. These schools include:
- Lone Oak Elementary School
- Lone Oak Middle School
- McCracken County High School
- Reidland Elementary School
A notable achievement this year came from Reidland Elementary, which demonstrated the highest gains in the district, with an impressive 53-point increase from the previous year.
The district’s middle and high schools made exceptional progress, with both the middle schools and high school moving up to Blue ratings for the 2023-2024 academic year. This marks an improvement from their previous standing in 2022-2023.
Additionally, five schools earned Green ratings, reflecting consistently strong performance. These schools are:
- Heath Elementary School
- Concord Elementary School
- Heath Middle School
- Lone Oak Intermediate School
- Reidland Middle School
Two schools received Yellow ratings for the 2023-24 school year. They are:
- Hendron Lone Oak Elementary School
- Reidland Intermediate School
