McCracken County Public Schools is excited to announce that April Bynum has been named Principal of Reidland Elementary School. Bynum, a dedicated educator and leader, has been a key part of the Reidland community for years, bringing passion, experience, and a deep commitment to student success.
Bynum has served in various roles at Reidland Elementary, including classroom teacher, math interventionist, instructional coach, and assistant principal. Since stepping into the leadership role, she has worked tirelessly to foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment for both students and staff.
“It is an incredible honor to serve as principal of Reidland Elementary,” said Bynum. “This school is a family, and I am committed to ensuring that every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired. I look forward to working alongside our amazing educators, staff, and families to continue making Reidland a place where learning thrives.”
McCracken County Schools Superintendent Josh Hunt shared his confidence in Bynum’s leadership, stating, “April Bynum’s dedication to education and her ability to cultivate strong relationships with students, staff, and families make her an outstanding choice for this role.”
Bynum holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s degree in Reading and Writing Specialization, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership with Rank 1 certification—all from Murray State University.
