McCracken County HOSA - Future Health Professionals attended their State Leadership Conference in Louisville, KY March 20-22nd. Students competed in a wide range of events, including Phlebotomy, Medical Innovation, Biomed Debate, and many more. These competitive events provided an invaluable learning experience, allowing participants to sharpen their skills, enhance their presentations, and strive for top placements at the state level.
Beyond the competitions, attendees explored various educational opportunities. The Career and College Fair Exhibit Hall was filled with resources for higher education and networking with potential employers. Students also engaged in educational symposiums and enjoyed fun activities such as BINGO, a talent show, karaoke, a photo booth, the HOSA store, and a silent disco. Additionally, HealthForce KY offered a dynamic hands-on learning lab, while Spalding University provided realistic skill scenarios to strengthen clinical knowledge. A major highlight of the event was the campus tours hosted by the University of Louisville’s Schools of Public Health, Nursing, and Medicine.
McCracken HOSA’s chapter was awarded the 3rd Largest Membership in the state as well as the Monthly Challenge winner. Grace Henderson, McCracken Alum was recognized for her service as Past-President for Kentucky HOSA and her time as the 23-24 State President. Jack Adreon was recognized for his service as President for Kentucky HOSA. Jack Adreon was also awarded the Outstanding State Leader of the Year.
