The McCracken County School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Mavigliano as the district’s Director of Elementary Instruction. In addition to this role, he will continue to serve as the Community Schools Grant point of contact. Mavigliano will officially begin his new position on July 1.
Superintendent Josh Hunt commended Mavigliano’s leadership and commitment to elementary education. "Marc Mavigliano has been an invaluable part of our district for many years. His ability to foster collaboration, support educators, and implement strategies that enhance student learning makes him the ideal choice to lead our elementary instruction efforts. I am confident that his leadership will have a lasting impact on our students and schools."
Mavigliano brings extensive experience in education and leadership. Before serving as the Community Schools Director, he was the Principal of Lone Oak Intermediate. Prior to that, he was the Principal of Lowes Elementary in Graves County and served as Assistant Principal at Lone Oak Elementary from 2011 to 2013. His career in education began at Lone Oak Middle School, where he worked from 2004 to 2010 as a special education teacher, counselor, and instructional coach.
Excited about his new role, Mavigliano emphasized his commitment to elementary instruction. "Elementary education is the foundation for lifelong learning, and I am eager to support our teachers and administrators in creating the best possible environment for our students. I look forward to working closely with educators to implement effective instructional strategies that enhance student achievement across the district."
Mavigliano holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Kentucky Wesleyan College and a bachelor’s degree in special education from Murray State University. He also earned master’s degrees in counseling and school administration from Murray State University.
