On Monday, August 19, McCracken County Schools proudly joined districts across the state in wearing pink to honor the memory of Lucy, a beloved 4th-grade student from Henderson County, KY, who tragically passed away after collapsing during recess on her first day of school.
In honor of Lucy’s love for the color pink, we wore pink yesterday to show our solidarity with her family and the Henderson County community during this heartbreaking time.
Our hearts are with Lucy's family and all who knew and loved her.
