The Paducah-McCracken County NAACP is proud to announce the winners of the 2024 Fredrika Hargrove/Martin Luther King Day Poster and Essay Contest. 

This annual event encourages students to creatively express the values and ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while honoring the legacy of esteemed educator Fredrika Hargrove.

The awards ceremony, sponsored by Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, will take place on Sunday, January 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the cafeteria of Lone Oak Middle School, located at 260 Bleich Road. The ceremony will be a celebration of the hard work and creativity of the participating students.

The first-place students will record their essays and have them published on local radio through WKMS.

The Paducah-McCracken County NAACP extends a warm invitation to the community to join in honoring the winners and participants of the contest. The event promises to be an inspiring and uplifting occasion, showcasing the talent and dedication of our local students.
