The McCracken County wrestling program bounced back from early losses by claiming seven straight wins over the past week. On Monday Nov. 27th the Mustangs played host to their neighbors to the north, defeating Carterville, IL (49-21) and Goreville, IL (60-15) in a tri-meet. They kept the wins rolling as they traveled to Evansville, IN on Saturday Dec. 2nd going undefeated and placing first at the “Hill Classic” with wins over Henryville, IN (53-7), Owensboro Catholic (54-18), Pike Central, IN (48-18), Henderson County (43-30), and host school F.J. Reitz, IN (42-35) to take home the title. Four Mustang wrestlers remain undefeated on the season thus far: Logan Kissiar (5-0), Nash Smallwood (11-0), James Barragan (11-0) and Frankie Nutt (3-0). The Mustangs will be back in action this week with tri-meets on Wednesday, Dec. 6th at Jackson, MO and at Calloway County on Thursday, Dec. 7th.
