In the epic conclusion of a district contest that began on May 2, 2024, the McCracken County Lady Mustangs and Paducah Tilghman Lady Blue Tornado met at Baptist Health Field, with the game starting in the fourth inning. The Mustangs collected a 13-3 win over Paducah Tilghman while playing two innings on Monday.

Ahead of the contest, the McCracken County Lady Mustangs honored seniors Ellie Shoulders, Raygan Rodgers, Addy Morgan, Anna Kate Hawes, Grace Henderson, and KG Walker.

Addley Leidecker collected the win for McCracken County. She was the original starter on May 2, continuing her work in the circle on Monday. Leidecker allowed six hits, three runs (earned), and one walk while striking out five.

Mia Bobbitt took the loss for Paducah Tilghman. Bobbitt worked over an inning, allowing eight hits, seven runs (earned), and two walks while striking out one.

Adrienne Romain originally started in the May 2 contest, working three innings while allowing five hits, six runs (earned), and three walks while striking out one.

When the action continued from two weeks ago, McCracken County was up 6-2 over the Blue Tornado, with Tilghman’s Madeline Boling driving in a run in the top of the fourth inning, scoring Zoe Burch.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Mustang offense exploded, tacking on six more runs to take a 12-2 lead with RBI from Shoulders, Rodgers, Walker, and McKenzie O’Brien.

Bobbitt continued to battle for the Blue Tornado in the top of the fifth, driving home Audreya White, making it 12-3. However, runners would be stranded as the half-inning ended on a strikeout, sizzling out Tilghman’s scoring opportunity.

The final run came courtesy of Savannah McDowell, who ripped an RBI double to left field, scoring Skylar Clark to end the contest.
