The semifinal matchups are set in for the Girls’ First Region tennis tournament. Tuesday afternoon featured a little extra tennis after some of Monday’s matches were rained out.
Winners on Tuesday advance to the semifinals Wednesday beginning at 4 p.m.
Girls’ Singles
McCracken County’s Sophie Hollowell is continuing her hot streak as she defeated St. Mary’s Nora Flint 6-0, 6-0. Graves County’s Ellie Swift defeated Ballard Memorial’s Sinanna Beauregard 6-0, 6-0. McCracken County’s Pratha Patel defeated Paducah Tilghman’s Addison Winklepleck 6-1, 6-0 and Mayfield’s Molly Null defeated Calloway County’s Amber Wu 6-0, 6-0.
Girls’ Doubles
McCracken County’s Cassidy Parker and Alex Poore defeated Calloway County’s Kaylee Morris and Finley Lencki 6-0, 6-0. Paducah Tilghman’s Maddie Duwe and Christian Anderson defeated St. Mary’s Audrey Sims and Meredith Paxton 6-0, 6-2. Marshall County’s JC Wells and Delaney Miller defeated Mayfield’s Tyler Sloan and Sadie Sulta 6-3, 6-4 and St. Mary's Olivia O'Neill and Mason Clements defeated McCracken County’s Amelie Lundberg and Mariane Puertollano 6-3, 7-5.
