The First Region tennis tournament continued indoors Tuesday with quarterfinal play taking place with boys singles and doubles action. Semifinal matches will take place Wednesday at the Lone Oak Tennis Courts, weather permitting, or indoors if rain continues.
Boys’ Singles:
Mayfield’s Michael East defeated Ballard Memorial’s Rutvik Patel 6-0, 6-0. Paducah Tilghman’s Whitson McNeill defeated Marshall County’s Eli Rudd 6-0, 6-0. St. Mary’s Rex Roof defeated Paducah Tilghman’s Leyton Morris 6-0, 6-1 and McCracken County’s Aaron Lungberg defeated Marshall County’s Elston Evans 6-0, 6-0.
McCracken County’s Hutch Crabtree and Hayden Taylor defeated Graves County’s Mason Whitaker and Mason Kirby 6-2, 6-2. Mayfield’s Owen Null and Anderson Smith defeated Calloway County’s Bo Stom and Antonio Arnone 6-1, 6-1. McCracken County’s Luke Braboy and Asher Shanks defeated St. Mary’s Henry Wright and Lucas Lea 6-1, 6-0 and Paducah Tilghman’s Cameron Wright and Alex McMillan defeated Mayfield’s Abram Morris and Karsen Neely 6-1, 6-4.
