Skies cleared and the courts at the Larry J. Heflin Tennis Center in Lone Oak dried up Wednesday for some First Region tournament semifinal tennis action.
On the boys’ side of competition, athletes from McCracken County, Mayfield, St. Mary and Paducah Tilghman still stood for the semifinal round in both doubles and singles action. The duos of Hutch Crabtree and Hayden Taylor and Luke Braboy and Asher Shanks from McCracken County, Owen Null and Anderson Smith of Mayfield, and Cameron Wright and Alex McMillan from Tilghman made up the doubles sets.
In singles action the No. 1 seed Michael East from Mayfield, the No. 2 seed Aaron Lundberg of McCracken County, the No. 3 seed Whitson McNeill of Paducah Tilghman and the No. 4 seed Rex Roof of St. Mary all competed for a spot in the championship.
