Closing out her high school softball career, McCracken County’s K.G. Walker was named the First Region softball Player of the Year Friday. Walker led the Lady Mustangs with a .509 batting average which included six homers, 54 RBI, 16 doubles and suffered just two strikeouts. She was instrumental in getting the Lady Mustangs to their four straight State Tournament appearances.
