The McCracken County Mustangs beat St. Mary 8-0 for the second time this season, with a plethora of players scoring in this affair. Seven different goal scorers and constant defensive pressure led the Mustangs to this win.

McCracken County picked up all of their goals in just over a 20-minute span in the first half of this matchup. Maks Hazel knocked in two, including an incredible corner kick goal that wrapped around the goalkeeper and into the side of the net.

Senior Matthew King snuck one past the St. Mary defense to score his second goal of the season early in this one. Mason Atnip absolutely blasted a ball following Hazel’s second goal that gave them a 4-0 lead. Landon Player and Grant Seaton followed this up with each a goal of their own, which extended McCracken’s lead to six with ten minutes left in the half.

Alex Trussel struck the net for his first goal of the season with just over five minutes to go. This marked the 16th different play to score a goal for this Mustang team. This goes to show how well the ball movement is and how unselfish this team can play. Finally, Tanner Watson sealed the game when he scored with just over two minutes to play in the half. The Mustangs held on for the rest of the half and claimed the mercy rule victory of St. Mary.
