Mural

Every October, we celebrate National Arts and Humanities Month, and this year, McCracken County's National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is kicking off the school year with an inspiring community project!

On October 26, 2024, from 9 AM to 5 PM, our talented students will be transforming the lobby of the Public Library with a stunning koi pond mural, designed by our very own Amel Lundberg, NAHS's Exhibitions Chair.

Amel shares, “Koi fish symbolize strength, courage, and peace, and this library has been a staple of my childhood. I’m so grateful to lead this project!”

Join us as we bring art to our community! Community members are invited to stop by, watch the mural come to life, and snap some photos. Plus, NAHS members will be offering complimentary face painting for kids!

As Isabella Weaver, a dedicated NAHS member, puts it, “By bringing art into our community, we build relationships and spread positivity.”
