McCracken County FCCLA members attended and competed in the National Leadership Conference June 28-July 3 in Seattle, Washington.
Laynie Kidd won a gold medal and earned a spot in the highly competitive FCCLA fashion show in fashion construction.
Cannon Ford, Caleb Joyce, and Cameron McDowell won gold medals in Food Innovations.
Lexi Samsil won a gold medal for Chapter Service Project Portfolio.
Emma Reid and Lakyn Wallis earned gold medals along with a top 10 finish in Event Management.
Jaya Nesler won 2nd place and a gold medal in Red Talks on Education.

McCracken County HOSA attended the HOSA (Future Health Professionals) International Leadership Conference this past week in Houston, Texas. McCracken HOSA was recognized Internationally for their service to NMDP, formerly known as Be the Match. #McCrackenProud
MCHS student Jack Adreon led the state of Kentucky as State President and was the KY flag bearer at the opening session. Grace Henderson served in her role of Past-President for Kentucky.
Grace Henderson was also recognized as an Outstanding State Leader at the International HOSA (Future Health Professionals) Conference. Grace was 1 of 103 scholarship recipients, earning the Patton Scholarship! Over 3,600 students worldwide applied for these scholarships.
Ainsley Galloway and Emely Martinez placed in the top 35 INTERNATIONALLY in Medical Innovation. This competitive event consists of 2 rounds. They advanced through Round One, where judges evaluated the created medical innovation and received scores allowing them to advance to Round Two for an oral presentation. This event aims to inspire members to be proactive future health professionals by sharing their medical innovation, understanding, and outcomes with others.
Kingston Wilson placed first in Kentucky for Pathophysiology and competed at the International Level in this event. He was also selected as an event personnel member for Extemporaneous Health Poster.
Galloway, Martinez, and Wilson were also selected to assemble a jeep for GoBabyGo. This organization provides modified ride on cars for children with disabilities.
Raelynn Felker was awarded the Bronze American Red Cross award for her time and dedication to this wonderful cause. Members must have volunteered at least 25-49.9 hours to the American Red Cross. Felker also organized her own blood drive.
