The Chess Team participated in the Purchase Chess Foundation Women's Open at Paducah Tilghman High School this past Saturday. There was a women's and men's section. In the men's division, Cy Hines came in 1st, Ansh Shah was 3rd, and Charlie Beckner placed 4th. In the women's division Chess Club Sponsor Traci Dossett came in 1st. The Chess Club will host the Jackson Purchase Open this Saturday, March 30. It is a qualifying event for the Kentucky Closed Championship. #McCrackenProud

AP Human Geography (Mr. Williams) classes have been studying the world of food and agriculture. From the origins of ingredients to their journey of diffusion, these projects offer a captivating insight into how our favorite foods have shaped American culture. #McCrackenProud
Students were inducted in the German National Honor Society, Delta Epsilon Phi, on Thursday, March 14, 2024. To receive an invitation for the society, students had to have a minimum of 3 credits in German, a 4.0 GPA in all German courses, and a 3.0 GPA or higher for all other coursework. Students received a certificate and a Delta Epsilon Phi honor cord.

Congratulations to the Chess Team for placing 3rd at the Kentucky Chess Association State Team Scholastic Championship on Saturday, March 16! The 4-person team consisted of Ella Chuppe, Daniel Crouse, Cy Hines, and CJ Sullivan. Daniel Crouse received a plaque for winning all four of his games. Additionally, Ansh Shah came in 6th place in the alternate section. #McCrackenProud
